Friday:
My University sponsored an open technology forum today, “Blending Technology Boundaries: Transforming Organizational Landscapes to Ensure Innovation and Collaboration” featuring four speakers, Tina Nunno, Dr. Joel Hartman, Dr. Philip Long, Dr. Randall Stiles.
Later in the day a few colleagues and I visited the University of North Texas Libraries to look at various technology spaces. We had a wonderful tour of UNT’s new Eagle Commons complete with demos of their smartboard system and NCast video. We also toured Willis Library to see their digital signage and other new tech features they have recently rolled out.

Thursday:
Unfortunately was not able to attend to the two Handheld Librarian workshops presented today, but did get to a session recommended by our library administration – 60 Minutes of Outlook Secrets. It was actually pretty good with a few tips and tricks for categories and colors I might use.
Do, Delegate, Defer, or Delete!
Soundtrack of the Day:
Kurt Vile – Baby’s Arms
Wednesday:
A super busy day with the Handheld Librarian VI online conference. Attended many sessions throughout the day including keynotes by Stephen Abram and Michael Stephens.
Also served as a helper in the first of our English 1023 library instruction classes.
Soundtrack of the Day:
Peaking Lights- Hey Sparrow

Tuesday:
Faculty appointment to discuss creating a LibGuide for her class. After discussing things for a bit it quickly became apparent to both of us that the course wiki she had prepared for the class was excellent and would work better for the students.
Attended a webinar on personal communication.
Worked at the Reference Desk for a couple of hours in the afternoon.
Soundtrack of the Day:
Philip Glass – Metamorphosis II
Happy 75th birthday Mr. Glass!
